Regular meeting in the form of an online conference of the SSS of the Department of Pediatrics № 1

A regular meeting of the SSS of the Department of Pediatrics № 1 of  ONMedU was held on the initiative of the Head of the Department of Pediatrics № 1 Corresponding Member of AMSU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor M.L. Aryaev in the form of an online conference (webinar) and was devoted to the results of the SSS of the department activity in 2019-2020 academic year.

The online platform ZOOM registered 38 participants: members of the SSS of the department, students, staff of the department, guests.

The meeting was opened by the Head of the Department of Pediatrics № 1 Corresponding Member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, MD. Professor M.L. Aryaev. In his introductory speech, he noted that, despite the challenges that were presented by the quarantine not only to the educational process, but also to student research  in connection with the pandemic COVID-19, the Department of Pediatrics № 1 considers it possible and necessary to hold the final meeting of the SSS . He highlighted the importance and value of student research work of numerous departments of ONMedU, which resulted in participation in the annual international conference: “Modern theoretical and practical aspects of clinical medicine” (for students and young scientists), which was to take place this year on April 9-10. on the basis of our university.

Scientific adviser of the SSS of the Department of Pediatrics № 1, Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Yu. V. Desyatska reported on the work of the SSS, which resulted in 5 scientific reports, which were presented for participation at the student conference. After a short introductory speech associate professor, candidate of medical sciences Yu. V. Desyatska informed the participants of the meeting about the worthy legacy of Professor V.V .Voronin, which he left in the history of our university, to the 150th anniversary of which the current student conference was dedicated.

In the main part of the meeting / online conference (webinar) / SSS participants presented reports:

  1. The value of the ECG method in the screening of the syndrome of prolonged Q-T in children under one year of age.

At the end of each report, the participants of the SSS meeting, students and teachers had an opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from the speakers about their research.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the Department of Pediatrics № 1 Corresponding Member of AMSU, MD, Professor M.L. Aryaev thanked all the participants, identified further priorities for the work of the SSS of the department and wished the graduates of our university to pass the final exams successfully and have further fruitful work.
