ONMedU has increased the number of foreign students by 20%

Odessa National Medical University has increased the contingent of foreign students. This was announced by the Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee of ONMedU Eduard Buryachkivsky at the meeting of the Academic Council chaired by the Rector, Academician Valerii Zaporozhan.

In particular, in 2021, 410 foreigners became new students and listeners of ONMedU, which is almost 20% more than last year. The greatest demand for this admission campaign was the specialty “226 – Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”.

Eduard Buryachkivsky also presented for approval by the Academic Council the Regulations on the Admissions Committee and the rules of admission to ONMedU in 2022. The main features of next year’s entry will be:

Applicants on the basis of full general secondary education in full-time and part-time forms of education, except for certain categories of persons, from 14 to 22 July inclusive, apply only in electronic form.

In 2022, the EIT certificates of 2019-2022 will be accepted.

Applicants can submit up to five applications for government-financed education. Submission of applications for participation in the competition for studies at the expense of individuals or legal entities allows not more than twenty applications.

The first competitive subject is invariably the Ukrainian language, the second at the choice of the entrant – mathematics or chemistry, and the third – physics or biology.

Admission on the basis of educational qualification lvel of a junior specialist for a master’s degree in medicine and pharmacy is based on the results of external independent assessment in the Ukrainian language and any subject (optional), of which in 2022 is an external evaluation of learning outcomes and KROK-M Certificate (in absence of a professional entrance examination). In 2022, certificates of external independent evaluation of 2019-2022 will be aaccepted.

Admission of foreigners in 2022 will be held twice: from January 20 to March 1 and from July 1 to November 1.
