The MOH reports:
In Ukraine, 2106 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded.
According to the CSH, as of 9:00 am on August 21, 2020 there are 100 643 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, including 2207 lethal, 51 078 patients have recovered. During the day, 2106 new cases have been recorded. A total of 1 378 519 PCR tests have been performed. 637 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours.
Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:
▪ Vinnytsia region – 3478 cases;
▪ Volyn region – 4989 cases;
▪Dnipropetrovsk region – 1894 cases;
▪ Donetsk region – 1183 cases;
▪ Zhytomyr region – 2695 cases;
▪ Zakarpattia region – 6771 case;
▪Zaporizhzhia region – 1234 cases;
▪ Ivano-Frankivsk region – 7462 cases;
▪ Kirovograd region – 751 cases;
▪City of Kiev – 11 328cases;
▪ Kyiv region – 4805 cases;
▪ Lviv region – 12 793 cases;
▪Lugansk region – 213 cases;
▪Mykolaiv region – 912 cases;
▪Odessa region – 5578 cases;
▪Poltava region – 614 cases;
▪Rivne region – 8238 cases;
▪Sumy region – 1124 cases;
▪Ternopil region – 4301 cases;
▪Kharkiv region – 7033 case;
▪ Kherson region – 329 cases;
▪ Khmelnitsky region – 1828 cases;
▪Chernivtsi region – 8505 cases;
▪Cherkasy region – 1219 cases;
▪Chernihiv region – 1366 cases.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory and also by regional laboratories. On August 21, 2020, the Centre received 2500reports of suspected COVID-19. A total of 159 185 COVID-19 suspicion reports have been received since the beginning of 2020.
