The MOH reports:

In Ukraine, 1967 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded – it is a new abysmal record in the number of infected people registered per day.

According to the CSH, as of 9:00 am on August 19, 2020 there are 96 403 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, including  2144 lethal, 49 737 patients have recovered. During the day, 1967  new cases have been recorded. A total of  1 335 000 PCR tests have been performed.  812 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours.

Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

▪ Vinnytsia region –  3323 cases;
▪ Volyn region –  4878 cases;
▪Dnipropetrovsk region – 1816 cases;
▪ Donetsk region –  1122 cases;
▪ Zhytomyr region –  2536 cases;
▪ Zakarpattia region – 6552 case;
▪Zaporizhzhia region –   1179  cases;
▪ Ivano-Frankivsk region – 7122 cases;
▪ Kirovograd region – 748 cases;
▪City of Kiev – 10 945 cases;
▪ Kyiv region –  4685 cases;
▪ Lviv region – 12 448 cases;
▪Lugansk region – 194  cases;

▪Mykolaiv region – 857 cases;
▪Odessa region –  5281 cases;
▪Poltava region – 582 cases;
▪Rivne region – 7953 cases;
▪Sumy region – 1023 cases;
▪Ternopil region – 4001 cases;
▪Kharkiv region – 6607 case;
▪ Kherson region – 312 cases;
▪ Khmelnitsky region – 1678 cases;
▪Chernivtsi region – 8108 cases;
▪Cherkasy region – 1175 cases;
▪Chernihiv region – 1278 cases.

 

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory and also by regional laboratories. On August 19, 2020, the Centre received 2361 reports of suspected COVID-19. A total of  154 246 COVID-19 suspicion reports have been received since the beginning of 2020.
