On February 7-8, 2020, a conference with international participation “Medical Simulation – a New View of the Future” was held at Vinnitsa National Medical University named after M.I. Pirogov, the main purpose of which was to introduce innovative technologies into the Higher Medical Education of Ukraine, as well as a seminar: “Modern Strategies development of higher medical education in Ukraine ”, where educational strategies and technologies (problem-oriented learning, interdisciplinary education, teamwork, patient as a subject of medical education, use of digital technologies) were considered.
Odessa National Medical University was represented at the conference by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences Marichereda Valeria Gennadiivna, Head of the OSCE Training Center, Candidate of Medical Sciences Oleksandr Rogachevskii, a Leading Specialist of the OSCE Training Center, Candidate of Economical Sciences, Associate Professor Victoria Borshch with a report “Weaknesses and Strengths of the Exam in the OSCE Format as a Tool for Assessing the Clinical Competencies of Students at Odessa National Medical University”, Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology # 1, Volanska Alla Georgiivna with a report“ Obstetrics and Gynecology in OSCE – for and against ”.
The conference and seminar covered the issues of current world trends in the development of medical education and their implementation in the educational process of higher medical institutions, the problems of development of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education in Ukraine, the issue of introduction of the latest assessment technologies in higher medical school, in particular OSCE.
It is nice to note that Odessa National Medical University is one of the leaders in the implementation of innovative technologies, simulation education and OSCE.
