The current academic year has been extremely difficult for all the administration and the teaching staff of our university. But our main aim was to proceed the studying process despite all the events happening.
However, we appreciate your right to be aware of the difficulties experienced by the staff of the university today.
For almost a year, a group of people have been trying to seize power at Odessa National Medical University. The most notorious of them are Vladlena Dubinina, Konstyantin Aymedov and Yaroslava Vitko.Several times these people have used the help of armed activists and entered the administration building of the university, where they stole documents and violently destroyed the property of the university. Unfortunately, their actions are actively supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Health blocked all money transactions for Odessa Medical University and such actions resulted in that the university professors, doctors of the university clinics did not receive their salaries for 5 months, the payments for electricity and water service were also blocked.
On the 3rd of June there was another attack on our university. The video attached to this post demonstrates HOW these people entered the administration building. Numerous teachers and students VOLUNTARY came and asked the vandals to leave the university. In response to this the vandals used gas which caused skin burn, irritation of mucous membranes, cough and lacrimation in the university staff and students who were staying around.
In spite of all abovementioned, the only thing we encourage you to do is to study and get ready for your final exams!
Please, do not trust the fake information given you by unofficial people or Internet resources.
Do not be afraid of Vladlena Dubinina. She is NOT the rector of the university. Today, the only one official rector of Odessa National Medical University is Yurii Sukhin.
All the students who will successfully complete the university course and pass STEP exam will receive official, internationally recognized diploma.
If you hear someone encouraging you to leave Odessa National Medical University, please, immediately inform your dean!!!
If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask your dean or official university administration!
