On October 28, 2024, the Department of Human Anatomy held another meeting of the student research group in Clinical Anatomy on a very relevant topic today: “Features of primary treatment of soft tissue wounds of various etiologies.”
More than 30 students of the 1st-3rd years of the medical faculty listened to an interesting report by the head of the circle, a 3rd-year student Oleh Myakishev, with a presentation on issues of etiology, classification, features of treatment of soft tissue wounds depending on their type and localization.
At the end of the theoretical part of the meeting, the 2nd-year student Diana Borshch and the 3rd-year student Oleh Krysyukevich invited those present to the experimental operating department, where they demonstrated practical skills. Under the sensitive guidance of senior teachers of the department, Olha Antsut and Oleksandr Ursa, the students were able to master the skills of correctly performing surgical treatment of wound edges and hemostasis, applying sutures, and tying surgical knots. All works were carried out on the cadaveric material of animals.
Future doctors learned to work in a team, to help each other, to respond positively to benevolent criticism and to rejoice in their own successes and the achievements of their colleagues.
The next meeting of the group will be on the topic “Bone restoration. Peculiarities of working with bone structures: restoration and preservation methods, problems of fragility and preservation. Materials for restoration” is scheduled for November 13, 2024.
