Academician Valerii Zaporozhan congratulated the residents of Odessa on the 225th anniversary of the city

Chairman of the Academic Council of Odessa National Medical University, Academician and Honorary Citizen of Odessa Valerii Zaporozhan congratulated Odessa residents on the 225th anniversary of their hometown.
During the festive events with the participation of the city administration, addressing the residents of Odessa, Valerii Zaporozhan said that he had devoted his entire life to the pearl of the Black Sea: “I was born here, studied at our medical university, treated, operated, saved lives of Odessa and taught my students. I can say that I have been serving Odessa all my life and I am happy about that. ”
He added that Odessa National Medical University has made a significant contribution to the promotion of Odessa in the world, strengthening its international image as a city of outstanding scientists and doctors. At the invitation of the university, the city was visited by Nobel laureates, who are legends of world medicine. They gave lectures, conducted master classes for students, operated patients at university clinics. The university graduates are successfully working in all corners of the world, glorifying Ukraine and their native Odessa. The entire association of ONMedU alumni exists in California, USA. “Wherever you say you are originally from Odessa, you find smiles everywhere – the whole world knows this talented, hospitable and beautiful city on the Black Sea. I am proud to serve people of Odessa, to carry the title of an honorary citizen of Odessa and to be a part of our large and friendly family, ”said Valerii Zaporozhan, wishing the residents of the city good health, harmony, peace and prosperity.
