Student science

Three research topics developed by scientists of Odessa National Medical University are financed by the Ministry of Health.

Among them is fundamental work aimed at combating epilepsy. The team under the leadership of Professor Leonid Godlevskii is working on increasing the effectiveness of epileptic activity control using pharmacological drugs and non-invasive stimulation of cerebellar structures.

Not only department employees but also students take part in scientific research. For example, Ksenia Pribolovets, a sixth-year student of the Second Faculty of Medicine, has been studying science since her second year. The topic of her research is neoangiogenesis in rats, epileptic seizures and the pathogenesis of seizures.
