Odessa National Medical University has received international institutional and program accreditation from the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR).
The decision to grant a certificate was a logical consequence of the October visit of the External Expert Commission (the commission’s opinion is at the link https://iaar.agency/storage/photos/shares/prog_accreditation_files/Odessa_2021/Report_inst.pdf ), and was adopted at the meeting of the Accreditation Council on December 23, 2021.
All three educational programs have received accreditation for a period of 5 years:
“221 – Dentistry”
“226 – Pharmacy”
“222 – Medicine”
For more than 120 years, Odessa National Medical University has been a model of modern methods of teaching students, has had its own traditions of medical and research work. Unique approaches in teaching and use of modern technologies give it the chance to be constantly in a trend of the modern world tendencies of medical education.
The vector of development of a higher education institution is determined by the relevant ministries and the rector. It is Academician Valerii Zaporozhan who became an initiative leader in the development of international recognition of medical education in Ukraine, and continues to work fruitfully with the university staff on this task.
