The MOH reports:
In Ukraine, 1464 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded.
According to the CSH, as of 9:00 am on August 17, 2020 there are 92 820 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, including 2089 lethal, 48 164 patients have recovered. During the day, 1464 new cases have been recorded. A total of 1 300 289 PCR tests have been performed. 342 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours.
Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:
▪ Vinnytsia region – 3234 cases;
▪ Volyn region – 4707 cases;
▪Dnipropetrovsk region – 1750 cases;
▪ Donetsk region – 1094 cases;
▪ Zhytomyr region – 2479 cases;
▪ Zakarpattia region – 6329 case;
▪Zaporizhzhia region – 1118 cases;
▪ Ivano-Frankivsk region – 6790 cases;
▪ Kirovograd region – 743 cases;
▪City of Kiev – 10 642cases;
▪ Kyiv region – 4554 cases;
▪ Lviv region – 12 079 cases;
▪Lugansk region – 184 cases;
▪Mykolaiv region – 819 cases;
▪Odessa region – 5062 cases;
▪Poltava region – 557 cases;
▪Rivne region – 7716 cases;
▪Sumy region – 891 cases;
▪Ternopil region – 3817 cases;
▪Kharkiv region – 6156 case;
▪ Kherson region – 301 cases;
▪ Khmelnitsky region – 1618 cases;
▪Chernivtsi region – 7782 cases;
▪Cherkasy region – 1165 cases;
▪Chernihiv region – 1233 cases.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory and also by regional laboratories. On August 17, 2020, the Centre received 1490 reports of suspected COVID-19. A total of 150 017 COVID-19 suspicion reports have been received since the beginning of 2020.
