V International Congress in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care “Autumn Meeting in Odessa”

From November 19 to 21, 2019, the 5th International Congress in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care “Autumn Meeting in Odessa” was held. The congress was organized by the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine of ONMedU with the support of  Odessa National Medical University and the “Med Voice” educational platform. About 600 experts from Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Israel, Russia and France visited the event. The official opening ceremony was held at the Grand Hall of the Congress Center of the Gagarin Plaza Hotel, where the welcomimg words was said by: the Chairman of the Congress Organizing Committee, a.i. Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical (international) work of ONMedU, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine professor O.O. Tarabrin, heads of ONMedU, a. i. vice-rector for scientific-pedagogical work (issues of humanitarian education and upbringing), associate professor K.O. Talalaev, foreign guests.
“Autumn meeting in Odessa” was held simultaneously in five conference halls, where besides the reports of leading scientists of Europe and the world, master classes on airway obstruction “Difficult Intubation and Problematic Airways”  (Professor O. Zlotnik, Israel). and several workshops on regional methods of anesthesia under ultrasound control (M. Doubilet, Israel, B. Tuyakov, Poland) were held. Within the framework of the congress, a course of lectures of the European Committee for Education in Anesthesiology “SEEA No. 5 – Neurology, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Therapy” and a seminar “Modern Technologies in Neonatology – 2019” were held.
The participants of the conference had the opportunity to listen to lectures by leading world experts, including both domestic and foreign speakers. Scientific meetings were held in the following areas: topical issues of anesthesiology, intensive care, problematic issues of hemostasis, patient safety and monitoring in anesthesiology and intensive therapy, neuroanesthesiology and neuroreanatology, regional anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology as well as many other problems of domestic and world anesthesiology and intensive care. The section on ultrasound in anesthesiology was also highlighted, which emphasized the importance of keeping up with the times and using modern techniques.
The conference was highly praised by the guests from abroad and domestic experts.
