Recognizing the value of vaccination is a manifestation of responsibility to oneself and the community

As part of the Immunization Week on April 25, 2025, the Deputy Directors of the Center for Public Health, Tetiana Orabina and Oleksiy Danylenko, visited  Odessa National Medical University with a lecture dedicated to highlighting the current state of prevention of managed infections, the problem of vaccination coverage against infectious diseases of different age groups of the population, as well as the possibilities of overcoming modern challenges of immunoprophylaxis in conditions of martial law.

For a doctor, compliance with immunoprophylaxis is of particular importance, because their own example increases patients’ trust in vaccination and strengthens the authority of medicine in society.

Recognizing the value of vaccination is a manifestation of responsibility to oneself and the community. In modern society, this is not just a medical act, but also an ethical obligation, a demonstration of trust in science and the desire for common well-being. The lecture was very useful for both the employees of the University Clinic and for students.
