Lecture on the Participation of Odessa Doctors in the Struggle for Ukrainian Independence in the Early Twentieth Century delivered at the Department of Social Sciences.

On March 4, 2020 a lecture on the participation of Odessa doctors in the struggle for Ukrainian independence in the early twentieth century was delivered by Associate Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine of Odessa National University named after I.I.Mechnikov, an employee of Odessa Regional Center for Patriotic Education and Leisure Organization for Children and Youth, V. Poltorak with the initiative and organizational support of the Head of the Department of Social Sciences, Associate Professor O.O. Sikorska and associate professor of the department O.O. Uvarova. Particular attention was paid to the fate of Ukrainian public figures Ivan Lypa and Yuri Lypa. In addition, Associate Professor Poltorak V.M., who is a well-known specialist in the field of local lore researchers, informed the students – 1st year students of the 5th group medical faculty № 2 – about the historical and natural wealth of Odessa and Odesa region.
