100 Outstanding Graduates (Prof. Schneider)

Today we will tell you about another outstanding graduate of Odessa National Medical University – Schneider Stanislav Arkadiievych – the Director of the RI Institute of Dentistry and Maxillo-Facial Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Department of General Dentistry of ONMedU, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, Vice President of the Association of Ukrainian Dentists.
His way to this specialty began in the 80’s of the last century. In 1988 he graduated from Odesa Medical College №1 with honors in the specialty of “Dentistry”, after that worked as a dental technician in Odessa Regional Clinical Dental Clinic, and already in 1995 he graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of Odessa State Medical University.
From 1997 to 2012 he worked as the head of the dental department of the City Andrology Center.
In 2002, Stanislav Arkadiievych defended his Ph.D. thesis and became an assistant of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry at Odessa State Medical University, and in 2006 received the title of an associate professor of this department.
In 2012, he defended his doctoral dissertation, and since September 2013 he has headed the Department of General Dentistry of ONMedU.
Since February, 2014 he has been the director of the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, in the same year he was awarded the title of professor.
It is impossible not to mention the fact that, in addition to medicine, prof. Schneider succeeded in social activities.
From 2006 to 2010, he was a deputy of the Odessa City Council, chairman of the Standing Committee on the Protection of Cultural Heritage, and in 2010 graduated from Odessa National Law Academy with honors in the field of Jurisprudence.
The main directions of his work are related to the development of the basis for prevention of caries of teeth and diseases of periodontal disease.
Prof. Schneider was awarded the medal for merits of 3rd degree, he is the author of 245 scientific works, under his direction 6 doctoral and 8 PhD theses were defended.
Thank you, Stanislav Arkadiievych, for a significant contribution to the development of dental science. You are an example of a man who, with his hard work and perseverance, has risen to extraordinary eminence in the chosen specialty. The University is proud of such a graduate as you are!
