Doctor Stefano Martinotti (Professor at Chieti-Pescara University, Italy)

Dr. Stefano Martinotti  is a professor at Chieti-Pescara University (Italy).

The main areas of professional interests of prof. S.Martinotti is experimental medicine, oncology, molecular and clinical pathology, predictive medicine and clinical molecular biology.

From November 1992 to October 2000 he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Experimental Medicine in the specialty “Molecular Pathology” at the University of L’Aquila. From August 1997 to September 1999, prof. S.Martinotti worked as a visiting professor at Columbia University ( the USA) and at the Irvine Genetic Cancer Center.

Since November 2000, prof. S.Martinotti holds the position of the Head of the Department of Clinical Pathology, Medical Research and Biotechnology.

From November 2000 to 2013, prof. S.Martinotti worked as the director and coordinator of laboratory medicine in the Cheyati region – Guardiagrele (Italy). In December 2000 he got the title of full professor of clinical pathology at the University of Chietai. Since November 2001 he has also been working as the director of residency programs for clinical pathology at the same university.

From November 2002 to November 2010, prof. S.Martinotti also served as a director of postgraduate programs in the field of Laboratory Medicine. From November 2005 to 2014, prof. S.Martinotti worked as a coordinator of screening programs to prevent colon rectal tumors in the ASL Lanciano-Vasto-Chieti. From November 2011 to 2013, he also worked as the director of the Clinical Pathology Center at the University of Annunziata, in collaboration with the Guardiagrele Hospital and the ASL Lanciano-Vasto-Chieti Center.

From November 2013 to now prof. S.Martinotti has been working as the director of the Center for Predictive Medicine and Clinical Molecular Biology at the SS Annunziata University Hospital of the University of Chieti “G. d’Annunzio “.
