Dr. Zhang Guangde was born in Tangshan, Hebei Province, China in 1931, in a city where he founded the first clinic, Ki Gong, in 1955. He always showed particular interest in Wushu and Chinese traditional medicine. His family always had traditions of working in Chinese medicine, his father was also a doctor. Zhang Guangde entered the University of Physical Education in Pekin in 1955 and in 1959 began teaching (as a senior lecturer), and works there till now.

In 1974, he was diagnosed tuberculosis and a certain type of allergy. After that Dr. Zhang Guangde initiated the study of Tao Yin Qigong and Taiji classical methods. Based on his research and knowledge and manuscripts from Chinese traditional methods, Dr. Zhang Guangde developed a new approach to the treatment of this disease. Using his method, he overcame the disease and helped 86 more patients with this disease. Since then, using his method, he has helped many thousands of patients suffering from a variety of diseases.

Dr. Zhang Guangde was selected as one of the 100 best health professionals by the Chinese government. He received the award for his study and contribution to the development of the healthcare system, which has substantially contributed to China’s health care budget savings. In 1990, his method, Dao Yin Yang Shengong, was officially recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Health and Education and integrated into the curricula of sports and medical schools. In 1992, Professor Zhang Guangde received the second prize for health research in China.

In 1998, he received the Eighth Duan from the Wushu Federation of China, and in the same year his method was integrated into the educational programs of sports schools in China. Professor Dr. Zhang Guangde holds the post of the Honorary President of the International Dai Center, Yin Young Shengong. He is the permanent deputy head of the Wushu Department of Science in China and the Honorary President of the European Federation of Tao Yin Yang Shen gong, acting in France and Portugal.

Today, the Dai Yin Young Shen gong system of health protection and support is approved by the Chinese government, and it is practiced in many countries by many millions of people. Dr. Zhang Guangde visited the countries of Europe many times, where he also informed the scientific community about the use of his system and conducted seminars in various parts of the world. On November 30, 2008, during the 9th International Meeting, Dai Yin Young Shen gong, in the presence of the official delegation of Pekin Sports University, announced the decision to create a European school for health and safety of Dai Yin Young Shen gong.
