On 26-31 March 2018, the Department of Robotic and Endoscopic Surgery of ONMedU will hold the second thematic advanced training (intensive simulation and practical course) “Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery” on a paid basis.
The Department of General and Military Surgery will also take part in the course.
The course will be based on international principles, including lectures and practical classes on simulators and in the operating theatre. It will be carried out in an intensive mode for a small group of trainees, including analysis and discussion of the achievements and mistakes of the students, and, most importantly, providing opportunity to assist at operations. The simulation part will be carried out on the virtual simulator Simbionics LapMentor III and on training devices LapTrainer (with the new ergonomic Wolf tools) of Simulab Company, which is the world’s leading manufacturer of such equipment. Thus, the members of the course will receive a full range of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which will allow them to begin to master this complex section of surgery. At the end of the course, the trainees will receive certificates of a standard form.
The course program is available here.
