Ralph Huss is a doctor of medical sciences, a doctor of philosophy, and an associate professor.
Ralph Huss is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Regenerative Medicine as well as a Professor, Managing Director and Chief Researcher at Apceth – Cell Technology Applied. He also holds the position of Chief Physician and Clinical Officer at Defeniens AG and was previously a Vice President of Research in Roche Diagnostics.
Prior to joining Roche, Dr. Huss took post-doctoral studies in immunology and transplant medicine with Nobel laureates Rolf Zincernagel in Zurich and E. Donnel Thomas at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
Dr. Huss is a certified (surgical) pathologist and has additional certificates in molecular pathology and transfusion medicine. He is co-author of over 100 articles and reviews, mainly in the field of cancer research, stem cell biology and cell therapy. Dr. Huss is a professor of pathology at the University of Munich and holds various scientific positions in Germany and abroad.
Dr. Huss also founded several small biotech companies and held various international meetings, for example, with the European Academy of Sciences and the International Society of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
