During business travel to Odessa, on 22th of May, 1st deputy minister of Healthcare of Ukraine, Olexandra Pavlenko has visited Odessa National Medical University.
Olexandra Pavlenko gained familiarity with the Educational-innovative Centre for the Physician Practical Training. Training classes, where medical students start to acknowledge themselves with basic practical skills, virtual operation rooms, high-fidelity mannequins for multidisciplinary team training were presented to 1st deputy minister. Training classes for primary medical care delivering during extreme conditions and military conflicts for healthcare specialists, rescuers, service men, fire teams and volunteers evoked a particular interest.
According to O. Pavlenko point of view, considering a medical education branch reformation, an innovative experience of Odessa National Medical University in simulation based technologies implementation deserves not only support, but also a further spread nationwide.
– Acting minister of healthcare of Ukraine, Lazoryshynets V.V., attended the Educational-innovative centre for the physician practical training within the confines of working visit to Odessa National Medical University. He has got acquainted with technical features of the Centre and structure of new educational process.
Managers of the East European network of excellence for research and development in chronic diseases CHRONEX-RD, Radu Iliescu and Liviu Oprea, representatives of University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania, visited the Educational-innovative centre in order to get informed about new medical education methods in Ukraine.
OSCE Ukraine mission representatives headed by the consultant of foreign affairs of Armenia, monitoring officer of OSCE, Aram Arutyunyan, performed a visit to the Educational-innovation centre and get informed about peculiarities of simulation based medical training.
Representatives of regional healthcare departments from Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Cherkasy and Odessa regions visited our center in order to get acquainted about effectiveness and perspectives of simulation based medical education for residents.
Representatives of Odessa National Polytechnic University – Prof. Sytnikov V.S., PhD, chairman of computer systems department, Prof. Krysanov V.A., PhD, chairman of system programming department and pro-rector of Odessa National Polytechnic University Svinariov Yu.M., visited the Educational-innovative centre and got acquainted with technical part of educational process.
Supernumerary specialists of Odessa regional healthcare department and heads of clinics and hospitals have attended the Educational-innovative centre. “With great interest we’ve visited department of simulation medicine and Educational-innovative centre for the physician practical training. These structures really provide us with the highest level of European medical education.
