“It is an International Day of Disability – an opportunity to educate people on disability problems, mobilise the support for disabled people, and work towards inclusion of disabled people to all spectres of work, social and educational life.

Our university studies the best European practices and adds our knowledge and possibilities to improve the quality of life of disabled people.

From 28/11 to 01/12 Odessa National Medical University hosted an important guest from Lithuania, Justas Džiugelis, a member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and a member of the Human Rights Committee.

During the visit we showed him the university library, met the students and discussed the cooperation in educational sphere, especially the part concerning the preparation of specialists able to work with disabled people accordingly to European protocols.

A group “Mercy” actively operates in our university, which has become the founder of new vector for charity works of Odessa National Medical University. The main goal for the group is to unite all volunteers of the university to help veterans, disabled people and elderly university staff.”
