At the practical webinar, Dr. Kogan presents methods and approaches for treating patients with injuries of the upper and lower limbs with comminuted fractures, soft tissue defects, vascular lesions and traumatic amputations. Treatment protocols will be considered, starting with diagnosis, primary wound treatment, reconstructive surgery of vascular intervention, skin transplantation, distal and local flap on the vascular leg, using microsurgery and protocols for treatment with modern medicines. As to the patients with burns, there will be demonstrated the technique of examination in the shock chamber, the technique of primary stabilization, the restoration of the balance of fluid and escharotomy during circular burns. Protocols for the treatment of early necrectomy with the use of the skin substitutes (homotraplantate), antibiotic therapy and antibacterial therapy will be proposed. The second part of the webinar is an on-line operation of the injured during military operations in the ATO zone under the direction of Dr. Rostislav Lubomyrovich Valikhnovskiy, one of the most famous Ukrainian plastic surgeons of our time.
